When I was 13, my father handed me his old camera
during a neighborhood party and said, "Take some pictures."
What ultimately developed was one abstract photo of the patio floor
and 35 poorly-focused shots of the lovely Italian woman from down the street.

I strive to focus on--and capture--the beauty all around us.
